Agreement and Apple terms
By accessing or using HomeCue, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use HomeCue. Your license to use the app is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement and do not limit any rights that cannot legally be limited.
General information only
HomeCue is a planning and educational tool. Its schedules, task descriptions, cost estimates, time estimates, instructions, and product search links are general information, not professional advice, inspection, diagnosis, certification, or a guarantee of any result. HomeCue is not a substitute for a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, heating or cooling technician, engineer, building inspector, code official, manufacturer, or other qualified professional.
Safety and emergencies
Homes, equipment, local codes, and personal abilities vary. Before starting any task, inspect the conditions, read and follow current manufacturer instructions and warnings, use appropriate protective equipment, obtain required permits or permission, and confirm that the work is legal and within your abilities. Stop immediately if conditions are unsafe or different from the instructions. Renters should obtain any required landlord approval.
HomeCue is not an emergency service and must not be your only method for monitoring smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, leaks, fire protection, electrical hazards, structural conditions, or other life safety systems. For an immediate danger, leave the area when appropriate and contact emergency services, the utility provider, the property owner, or a qualified professional.
Your responsibility
You decide whether, when, and how to perform a task. You are responsible for verifying the task, materials, tools, compatibility, measurements, model numbers, recalls, safety procedures, and local requirements before acting. Do not perform work that requires a license, permit, specialized training, or experience you do not have. Choosing to perform, postpone, skip, or hire someone for a task is your decision and responsibility.
Products and retailer links
HomeCue may provide generic Amazon search links for convenient access to parts and tools. A link is not a representation that any product is safe, suitable, available, code compliant, or compatible with your home or equipment. HomeCue does not manufacture, sell, distribute, inspect, install, fulfill, service, or warrant products shown by a retailer. Verify every product and listing with the retailer, seller, and manufacturer before purchasing or using it.
Purchases are transactions between you and Amazon or the applicable third party seller. Their prices, product descriptions, terms of sale, shipping, returns, warranties, recalls, customer service, and privacy practices apply. Product questions, order problems, returns, and warranty claims must be directed to Amazon, the seller, or the manufacturer.

External services
HomeCue may open Apple Maps, Amazon, websites, phone numbers, and other third party services. HomeCue does not control and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, security, products, services, or conduct. Use of an external service is subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy.
No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeCue and its content are provided as is and as available, with all faults and without warranties of any kind. HomeCue disclaims express, implied, and statutory warranties, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and noninfringement. HomeCue does not warrant that tasks, reminders, instructions, estimates, search results, links, or external services will be accurate, complete, timely, available, safe, or suitable for your circumstances.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeCue and its operator will not be liable for personal injury, death, property damage, data loss, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from or related to HomeCue, reliance on its content, performance or nonperformance of maintenance, missed or delayed reminders, or any external product, seller, contractor, or service, regardless of the legal theory and even if advised that such harm was possible.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of fifty United States dollars or the amount you paid directly for HomeCue during the twelve months before the claim, except where applicable law requires a different remedy or limit.
Changes and availability
HomeCue may change or discontinue features, content, task schedules, retailer links, or external service access. The effective date above identifies the current terms. Continued use after updated terms are presented constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law and severability
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
